Hot and bothered with me fan parts

Anyone throw some useful light on this:

Have order a new fan for the Griff from a well known dealer - being TVR part no K0072 - a griffith fan and which another supplier shows to be a SPAL VA10-AP1-25A. The fan that's arrived is bigger. Anyone know where to get a SPAL VA10-AP1-25A or what TVR part no that is ?

I knew this wouldn't be that easy.

has your car been converted to run on two fans? .....if so it maybe ment for a single fanned car like mine, or is it bigger then a single fan?

I ask because I need a new fan too as my motor bearings are shoot, and I'm confused looking at the fans to which I need.

I've emailed SPAL, I'll let you know... if you wan't though, send me a decent photo of your single fan - I may have a new one right here !

mine says..... tipo VA18-AP10-47A 12 V single fan (wonders if tipo means fiat tipo ????) any way it's approx 42cms diam external fixing to external fixing.

Spal are Italian, "tipo" is the Italian for "type"

The sticker is very worn but it looks like VA10-AP6-47A the bits that are hard to read are V#10-AP6-4#A

Hoover, haven't got your email address, phone no or bust size but decide if you want to compare this fan to yours cos it'll have to back pretty soon.

My 92 pre cat Grif has two fans Spal tipo va10-ap1-25a. 13.25inches across.
One seized up in 2006. The replacement I got from TVR Power for £70 was
tipo No va10-ap9/c-25a part No K0072 description 'cooling fan (mk 1)'. It fitted straight in and had the same two spade connector.

Thanks. I did actually order the K0072 but the one that's arrived isn't the same. Having spoken the supplier it seems they may have their TVR and SPAL numbers mixed up.

My single fan is noisy on my 92 4.0, when replacing it would i be better off fitting two smaller fans as they did not later cars i believe. Would i have better cooling?

Just replaced my 16" fan with one from Ratsport http://shop1.actinicexpress.co.uk/shops/Rat_Sport/...

Identical to the Spal fan i have just taken off, except for the curved blades. If you want to bling it a bit they also do chrome ones. He often has stuff on Ebay and i got the fan with the controller for much less than the web site price.

Ordered my 16" from Spal direct, it's currently sitting in at my office waiting for me to pop in and collect Friday morn.... not cheap, especially in comparison to those in the post above.
