What did you do to shift the balance?

Is that with you (or a bag of cement to represent you) in the driver seat?

No thats an empty car. If I were in it there'd be an even more lardy 90kg spread around. smile It does have about a third of a tank of fuel in it.

As for balancing most of corner weighting seems to be adjusting the length of your shock absorbers to take more or less weight.

If you look at the diagonals you'll see that one was taking far more weight than the other. In effect the car was a bicycle with two stabilising wheels.

All this since a tuscan S showed a clean pair of heels to me round brands hatch corners. frown

You should corner weight it with driver and with the anti roll bars disconnected. Your diagonal split is spot on without driver, but will therefore be suboptimal with driver

Four of something like them

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Load-Cell-high-res-OIML-500k...

Eight mild steel plates to bolt to.

A circuit board costing about £50 to make, and a laptop to plug the subsequent usb lead into, and put the software on.

Budget cornerweighting tool for about errum, not much. Accurate to the resolution of the load cell being used.

We could call it whirlwind corner weighting hehe

I cornered the man with the fast tuscan and put him on the scale and he was bloody near perfect, and 1105Kg . Grr

Didn't think to disconnect roll bars but it make sense. The driver however, not sure why as a load on one side of the car. What could you possibly do short of a sack of potatoes to compensate for an off load?

That's exactly what you do, try and dump 70Kg on the seat. Through cement/sand/other half.

Can you get a reading from the scales with you in the car? Do that, and have a look again at the balance smile

What and lose another 70kg to the tuscan. I'd rather go into the corners unbalanced hehe

An interesting approach. So compared to how it was originally you've made the front o/s worse and the rear o/s better. Hmmm.

Of course the adding a bag of cement to both sides is needed if you normally run with a passenger on track like I do.

Mine was near right from measuring the chassis height and counting seat turns each side. Of course my very accurate 'feeling' that it is right helps too :P

It's a Tuscan road car, I thought is was a bit heavy as my Griff 500 weighed in at 1082kg with 3/4 tank of petrol.

Stop gloating Paul hehe

I'm gonna kick your ass next time I meet you on a track. Just not figured out quite how thats gonna work yet.

Maybe I'll start putting in something other than 95 unleaded and work up from there smile

Just thought I'd put an appropriate photo in for those that like to see a Cerb leading the Tuscan
