Good morning fellow Yorkshire bods

I thought I would put a heads up in the regional section to see if any of you good people would be interested in attending Silverstone Classic with us this year?

Last year was a raging success, a cracking event in a good location with the best weather of 2008 coupled with a good group of people and the obligatory alcohol consumption, certainly made for the best weekend/event of 2008 in my calendar.

I'm hoping that we can get another good crowd down there for the newly revised 2009 event smile

I already have a list of names of people attending, some from last year and some new comers, of course, all are welcome thumbup

The events thread is here:

The official website is here:

As per last year, I am more than willing to take payment and arrange the tickets and camping to ensure we're all clubbed together, of course if you wanna buy your own tickets and camping, that's fine...we can all try to camp in the same area biggrin

I tried to get a designated area last year, but for some reason Whittlebury Park didn't honor this, but not to worry biggrin

Anyone fancy it?

If anyone with a big car can transport my booze and barbecue stuff, there's a couple of tinnies in it for them! The Elise is a lovely car, but woeful for camping. We'll be at Whittlebury again, but keep me posted on group buys for camping - would be good to get a pitch together. Standing inside Becketts watching Justin Law hustle the XJR8/9 is one of life's greatest events. Can't wait!

I can't offer BBQ and booze transport sadly, but I'm sure we might be able to work something out with someone biggrin

What we did last year was to transfer a steload of folding to me, then I went ahead and placed all the orders for the tickets and block booked our camping...

Was hoping to do the same this year, if not just for the camping

I'll nip down on the day I'm off over the weekend. Hopefully it'll be more than just one day, but it sadly won't be the entire weekend. I'll come find everyone, shouldn't be difficult rofl

Sounds like a good contingent in prospect. I'll organise our entry tickets (might do as birthday for my better half) but if you want to do a group Whittlebury buy, that'd be awesome. Offer for carting my beer still stands :-)

Let's hope David Hart's 512M is back this year. Hmmm...

If you wanna do it, give ma shout and we'll arrange for the camping to be booked in a block. Quite happy to meet up and exchange details or something

I'll get in touch tomorrow and see how it's stacking up as I have a prime spot in mind....

Right

I'm bumping this as I'm now taking advanced payments on the camping fees for those interested in camping in a group ala Le Mans!

We're working out some discounts (hopefully) on the tickets so that will come along soon

Email/pm me for details

Good call dude! Gutted you're not able to bring the Elise though.

Jag-D, I'll give you a shout tomorrow about this to make some arrangements. Thanks loads.
