Well, the V8 has left home for the last time

After 4.5 years of ownership, our beautuful E39 540 has been sold to the first person to see her. It has been a fantastic car, delivering comfortable cruising, but with a suprising turn of speed when the right foot is applied. She is going to a good home, to a fellow PHer, who clearly loves his Beemers. I hope you enjoy the car as much as we have done

It is another step forward for us, but it still choked a bit to see her go.

At least the tragedy means you may just have to spend even more time in the other v8 you have...
