Thinking of building second GTR

Just after some opinions about what its like second time round, realy enjoy build/owning and driving. Fancy building another!!!

do you mean owning two then or selling your beast??

we will never get all these bits finished if you start a new build but i suppose its a blank canvas to throw all your/our ideas at??

Have to sell mine, not that well off and don't have the space. Have so many ideas and want a new platform to put them on!!!

well Simon i must admit i understand your logic but thats one hell of a car you have built already........ god i can imagine the next one you will build...

hope you are lucky enough that someone might want you to build their next Ultima , and thus eleviate the funds problem...

You attention to detail is second to none, so good luck in your V10 quad turbo, 4wd all singing all dancing..

Wish you had told me before i bought mine... I did ask!!!

Intresting that you would consider building another Ultima. People have asked if I might sell mine and the answer which is yes always suprizes them. Then I tell them that I have the fiqure for the sale in my mind and that a new GTR would be on order the next day. Some people may not understand why I would do that, but I think you might. Building these cars with the right facilities and budget is really a lot of fun and a rewarding challenge when its done right. Lee

2nd time round... well, a bit of a mixture really.

You don't have the same sort of excitement as you do with the first build and some jobs (because you know how tedious they are) can be dull. However, by contrast you have the 'know how' from the first build and can apply all those 'I wish I'd done ......' bits and bobs.

My two were very different in intent and that made them both huge fun to put together. It helped that they were two different models too I guess. But if you were to build another GTR, I can't see why you shouldn't find it just as enjoyable - but perhaps for different reasons.
