Hi guys,

Thinking of claying my car's paintwork to remove what the winter left behind, but it's my first time. Can you recommend me a clay bar and lube please?
I'm after the best results not necessarily the easiest to use.
Seen a few names banded around after a search; Dodo juice, Meguiars, Bilt Hamber etc. just not sure which one to go for.

Thanks in advance

Go for Bilt Hamber....used with water on a wet car it offers great results. For something more serious go for the Meguiars professional range and a decent lube.

Bilt Hamber without a shadow of a doubt, but some users whilst drawn to the water only lube element, are shouting about how well it works with Dodo's Born Slippy QD.

I found the BH clay very hard compared to the megs one. Using a very small piece worked well though.

Before you use your BH clay dip it into warm water to soften it up and keep it soft.

have been through megs quick clay, mothers california claybars and the megs professional body shop ones. i've now moved on to gloss it clay bars. awesome clay bars. just as much deposit removal as the megs pro ones but leaves less marring. lube of choice is megs last touch diluted 2/1 with water.

just finished completely claying the missus Audi....used Dodo Supernatural and i think its fantastic. as well as the normal tar and film there was a fair bit of over-spray on it for various reasons and this took it all off and left the paint feeling beautiful. cant recommend it highly enough smile
