12 cylinder decision help-550/575 or something a bit older?
Discussion
After a bit of test driving and research when work travel has let me over the last 6 months or so, I'm about to take the plunge. I've been looking at a few options but have pretty much settled on a 550/575 until this month.
Recently I saw a nice 512M and am now not so sure. I like the 512TR/512M but am wary about getting something that I'm guessing is a lot harder and more expensive to maintain.
Any insight into these cars is much appreciated. I'm 6'2" and found the 512M ok for fit - just, does anyone have one - how useable is it? I plan to use it, not just he occasional weekend, and is there anything I need to be wary of when looking at them?
I'm also not sure about the premium on these over the Testarossa - are they over priced at £60-70k?
Thanks gents.

What about servicing - have had conflicting info on costs. i know the big services need the engine out, but I see some specialists do this at a fixed price.
Anything I should be aware of when looking.
The cars I've seen I think it would be the TR I'd go for. Have driven one recently and was impressed by the way it drove and how simple it was.

As good as the 512TR and the M are - for an everyday ride, you may wish to consider the 550/575 options. Alternately, for a V12 fix, do consider the later Diablo's or Early Murci's.
You'll be suprised how well all of these cars work as a daily driver - as long as they are used and looked after. I'm sure there are many people on this forum who can confirm this. I racked up 10,000 miles in 5 months in a previous 550, 10,000 miles in a 98SV (12 months), 18,000 in a 6.0 Diablo (18 months), and am currently using a 550 WSR as the daily driver and have put on 6,000 miles in the last 6 months.
Whatever you decide - you'll be smiling anyway!
