A28 Versus N138? The old or new way.

I feel the rush of all exotica and the like is now missed since the A28 was opened. I love the old N138 but some times the autoroute is just to convenient, especially when you have to make the midnight ferries.The locals sitting out on their chairs waving you on was enjoyable to watch and be part of, made the Le mans just that. Any one going on the old route?

went down the A28 when it was opened, didn't seem right, to empty, I thought have i got the dates wrong at one point. Remember being bumper to bumper with like minded folk in between the lorries at the speed limit of course, pulling up in a layby, fav of mine was the le frites old cabin outside Biorrne or was it Bernay?

N138 all the way, with a stop at place or beaumont-sur-sarthe to car watch. There aren't any bars on the A28...

Always the N138... you cant beat a warm summers day driving down that road, Im really hoping its sunny this year as we are doing a £500 challenge and bagged ourselves a Pug 1.6 CTI convert..... french old skool motor, great scenery.. GOOD TIMES

we have always done the A, but may give the N a crach this time. must have been great in the old days. even now driving down is one of my favourite parts of the week. seeing all the other stickered cars at the services and the radio chat between cars. love it all!
