LFW: .NET Developer
Discussion
Hi,
I am a .NET Developer with 6 months work experience (3 years in total, including stuff I do outside work). I am currently looking for a role in .NET using C#/ASP.NET/SQL Server in Central London with a salary of £100 a day or £18k a year + (I am looking for either a contract or permenant role).
Is there anyone here hiring .NET devs?
Thanks

should be loads of junior vacancies on jobserve
There are. But the problem is, I submit my CV and the agencies don't ring back. When they do call, they ring on a private number, I tell them to drop me an email at my email address on my CV and they can't even do that, so it's difficult to keep in touch.
Also, when typing "junior .net developer" in London or whatever into jobserve, I get jobs such as a chef in Manchester (seriously) or a senior C++ developer. Some of the jobs are made up as they have been on the site for over a year now (seriously).
I was/am hoping a business owner on here is looking for devs. Jobserve, totaljobs etc just don't cut it.
In my last job hunt (and the one before that) I got phonecall after phonecall, but now, with my CV stronger thanks to new experience, I don't get as much interest

Don't forget to follow up each application with a phone call. Jobserve applications are so easy that people speculatively submit their CVs meaning each job gets loads and loads. Call the agent, see if they got your CV (sometimes these sites have technical problems with sending the CVs) if your CV isn't suitable ask why, and if they have any other suitable roles.
Have you tried speaking to any of the recruiters that you have applied to via the web. Just be more assertive and pick up the phone. Anyone can ignore an email. Asking them to send you an email and you not followng it up results in you not hearing about any jobs so yu have to follow up your applications.
