Exhaust wrapping....

afternoon folks,

i have an exige s whih has a panel eliminator kit on it. my question relates to the unsightly heat shielding that covers the exhaust as it comes from the manafold, ie can the be removed and heat wrapped? will this provide enough heat resistance to stop things melting on the back of the car?

You can wrap exhausts, but there is always the risk of cracking a cast manifold, however SS should be fine. One of the better but more exspensive solutions is a ceramic coating, plus this can make them look more asthetically pleasing.
