Hi Paul,

  • ***Note from a friend of Mrs Ph1l5 who asked for help *****
Here's a bit more background to it all for you. Thought it may help if I set the scene. Lol.

My placement is based at a Residential Nursing Home in Hayes. They look after end of life cancer patients in one ward, and the frail elderly on another. At the beginning it was my idea of hell but it has been a really humbling and eye opening experience. The nurses and all the staff are just amazing, and as a personal project Im trying to help them raise funds for a minibus so they can take patients out to shops, on appointments etc.

This Summer Fete on July 4th is to raise funds to take the residents that are well enough out to Brighton for a day trip. The hire of the coach alone is a fair few hundred and I really want to help them get the cash together so that the residents don't have to dip into their own pockets for the trip. Plus the home has to pay a member of staff or secure a volunteer for every resident that attends so the cost really mounts up.

So.....if anyone is definitely keen to help at the fete by coming along for a couple of hours with their American car (prob from around 1 til 5ish) then let me know. Thankyou!!!!!

So far I have 2 cars that have given a definite yes.

The fete is from 1:30pm until 4:30pm so I think the cars would probably need to be here from 1pm until 5pm at the latest to allow for setting up and safely letting people go first. Are there any more that would be interested in coming down?
