This rather important story is buried in small type on the Telegraph site and isn't on the BBC at all (that I could see).

Why is it that stories about vacuous bints being divorced by their equally vacuous jungly husbands make front page headlines, but stories as important as "where we came from" barely make a ripple.

It is a sad reflection of the state of the world.

Probably because 99% of the population know absolutely nothing about science, and care even less - like you say, a sad reflection on today's society
