Does anyone know where I can get two 205/70 VR14 tyres from? They appear to be in short supply at the moment and if I can't find any soon I will have to stop using my car.

I would prefer Fulda tyres for preference. I am told the next batch of Fulda's will not be made until end of Jan.

Any ideas

Thanks

That's going to be really difficult for two reasons: 14" wheels are notoriously difficult to buy high performance tyres for and 70 series V rated is almost unheard of these days.

You could buy a Goodyear Ventura 195/70 which would be 8% under sized but would keep you on the road.

I don't know why you seem keen on Fulda, they are cheap but average at best in the dry, poor in the wet and don't last too long; I won't be making that mistake again.

Get in touch with all of the manufacturers that you can and ask them for suppliers. Good luck.

You could try Xpedia:

www.xpediatyre.co.uk/tyres70s.html

They have always given excellent service from my experience.

I can see why you want Fulda now - may be the only tyre available in that size.

Have a look at this, I bought 4 toyo's from here a couple of months ago, very, very reasonable.

Edited to add, I've just looked at their site, and have got Fulda's in stock.

There's some good prices on these sites compared to what I've been quoted by local dealers - typically how much would it cost for just fitting and balancing?

I paid a fiver a wheel for fitting and balancing to loose wheels - a bit of hassle getting them off and getting them there, but saving nearly 200 quid on a set, it was well worth it!
