Just wondering if anyone from here lives in Holland? I visit the country at least once a month due to having a Dutch girlfriend who lives in Almelo, near Enschede. Any TVR movements in or around the area, or in Holland in general?

Hi Daniel,

Yes there are members on your route to Almelo. You probably drive past Deventer (?) on the A1. From there it's 15 minute ride to were I live. I don't have a wedge, will a Griffith do ?

WOW! I had no idea that I would even get one response, nevermind a handful of them. At the moment I've not actually driven through Holland as I still use the planes, boats and trains etc. Next year however I am planning on bringing a car over so that we can see the sights a bit more.

I am also now at the stage of investigating whether I could move there too. When I visit it feels so relaxed and positive compared to the UK, however I understand that finding work could be a problem as I don't speak Dutch and mainly have IT skills which seem un-needed.

Either way, I shall try to attend a few meets in the new year and hopefully meet up with a few of you. I'm there again on the 11th of December for a couple of days, then going to Amsterdam for a concert. Probably going to be way too busy on that trip, but I do plan to visit again in January...

If anyone has any recommendations for TVR events which are happening next year please let me know. I've read a lot about Zolder for example and am going to see if I can get a group together for a trip. I've seen some of the pictures on the Dutch TVR Car Club website and it looks like a lot of fun. Going to get the girlfriend to do some website translating for me!!!
