i urgent need a griff 500

Hello PH's,
I am from Germany and totally fell in love with a Griff:-)) After a testdrive with a friends Chimera( I know, I know..)I found out I really need one of those cars (a GRIFF of course!!!). I have checked one here in Germany but she was no good with rotten outriggers and many other drawbacks, really a used and abused car.
Is somebody of you thinking about selling a good, honest car with good outriggers and all working mechanics? small imperfections in paint not a problem, but as I said, I am seeking for a good car not something that will need restoring, welding, etc. I am willing to fly over within days to pick up the car if the pictures show it's a good one with known history.
I can assure your P&J will find a good caring home.

Good luck with your search Eric. You could of course contact someone that specialises in finding good examples of these fabulous cars. It could save you an expensive trip over. I'm sure someone will be along with a recommendation.
If you're not already a TVRCC member then make sure you become one; there'll be contacts within its monthly magazine (Sprint) and on its website, as well as this one.
And try to get yourself over for the 'Griff Growl' at the end of July where the model is celebrated.

It might be worth doing a search on here as there was a thread recently by a guy in Germany that got his fingers burnt (so to speak) when he agreed to buy a car, flew over to the UK only to find the car had been sold. Most people on here feel that it was bad form on behalf of the UK seller, but IIRC that thread had some useful suggestions on how to approach buying in the UK.

You can have my LHD '96...Lots of mods, only driven and own by me from day one and engine just rebuilt with oem parts...
It's with me in northern Spain, if you want to come to have a look and a drive, I'll take you a night out, even if there is no deal, you can be my guest...

Are you after a LHD car or RHD, I have a RHD 1995 Griff 500 that will be available in the next few weeks, (it's having new carpets) I've owned the car 9 yrs and the chassis (outriggers etc) are totally rust free. The car spent the first few years of it's life in the dry climate of Cyprus, it's only had 3 owners, the original owner then his brother and finally me, so I have a very complete history in fact pretty much everything is documented and it’s seen very little rain and no road salt.
The car is in bright Italian Red with full cream leather and carpets. The reason I'm selling? mainly due to children, when I bought the car it was just me and the wife but now I've 2 small kids and 4 into 2 doesn't go, I originally tried to justify keeping the car for the occasional days out, PH, TVR Club runs etc but gradually it got used less and less, then not at all spending the last couple of yrs under it’s cover in the garage, and it’s a shame such a beautiful car is not been used and enjoyed.
So finally I’ve had to make the tough decision to sell it, (I’ve being putting it off long enough)even now I still don’t really want to sell it but simply can’t rationalise keeping it when the money could be put to better use elsewhere. Ive being delaying the invertible by putting off getting it ready for sale, I’ve intended to order the new carpets for several weeks, but now I really need to bite the bullet and get it sorted.
The intention is getting it ready over the next few weeks and then advertised (probably through PH and the owners club) but if it’s something you may be interested in please let me know, as I said I’ve not ordered the carpets yet so if you had a preference on colour that could be accommodated .
