I've been looking into this recently, and have come to the conclusion that unless you have probably well over £300 to invest and consider the vintage appearance important, you would be better off (in performance as well as cost) with a set of motorbike carburettors, or even bike throttle bodies and a Megasquirt set-up.

Yes have been considering the Bogg bros option, but have heard with bike carbs on a car engine they can be a bit "on or off" with power delivery.

I have a pair of Solex C40s & manifold but have heard these are pigs to set up correctly.

As for the throttle bodies/MS option it is probably the best option, but the cost is high.

What I didnt say was I intend fitting the Fiat Twincam into my Lada Niva, so no point in throwing a small fortune at it.

Plus the vintage look on a vintage engine looks greta, the Fiat Twincam is a classic engine, I love its lines.
