Saturday night, with 8 adults (30 - 60 years) and 2 children. A nice pub restaurant would be ideal. Timing for dinner will be around 5pm, after a day drag racing at Shakespeare County Raceway.

We will have cars, so can travel outside the town centre.

A quick look on the web brought up...

The One Elm

The Bell (Alderminster)

The Old Thatch Tavern

Any recommendations for these or suggestions of elsewhere?

Cheers

Mexico.

Had lunch before I saw this at the Cox's Yard. Great place, good location beside the river, good service thumbup

Drinks later at the windmill were good too.

The College Arms in Lower Quinton is very good, excellent food and lovely country village location. About 10 mins outside Stratford.

The Bell is very good, but not cheap. Probably be our choice.

Cox's Yard is more a lunch place - sit outside by the river in the sun.

The Stag @ Redhill (on A46 heading West, about 10mins outside of town) is also very good...this would be #2.

Not sure whether this place is worthwhile of an evening (we've done lunches and afternoon tea and cake), but Carluccio's (along the road that runs by the riverside just north of the river) is alright.

Which direction are you heading home? Or are you all going separate ways?

If anyone fancies a really nice place for dinner then try Barraset Barn in Tiddington. Went there last night and could not fault the service or food from the second we arrived until we left.

Not exactly cheap, but definitely worth a visit, just book before you go though.
