Toe in/Toe out

I have been reading through the build manual and came across this: M12 Cars before car 44 - Wheel Alignment Settings Front Toe: out .08” per wheel Total toe .16” out (5/32”
Rear Toe: in .12” per wheel Total Toe .24” in (1/4”
M 400 and M12 Cars after 44 - Wheel Alignment Settings Front Toe: out .04” per wheel Total toe .08 out (5/64”
Rear Toe: in .078” to .12 per wheel Total Toe .157” to .24 in (5/32” – ¼”
I have a 52 plate 2.5 M12 – does that mean my car is before car 44? I want to make sure I get the correct settings. Thanks

GTO – 3
Front – 2mm toe out Rear – 2-3mm toe in
The rack height on the early 3R’s is lower than the later ones. The front toe settings are therefore different to suit.
3R Early car – rack height 103mm
Front – 2mm toe out Rear – 2-3mm toe in
3R Later car & M400 – rack height 107mm
Front – 1mm toe out Rear – 2-3mm toe in
It would appear that it's all to do with the mounting height of the rack.
Hope this helps

Since that is a US build manual, that is based on US VIN numbers. Since they never imported 2.5 litre cars to the US, yours would fall under the early category. I also believe that it was actually US car #42 that got the first change. That car would have been manufactured in mid-2004. Another way to tell is by the size of the footboxes. The cars with the larger footboxes would have the early geometry setup that gives a wider turning radius than the later cars.I have been reading through the build manual and came across this: M12 Cars before car 44 - Wheel Alignment Settings Front Toe: out .08” per wheel Total toe .16” out (5/32”) Rear Toe: in .12” per wheel Total Toe .24” in (1/4”) M 400 and M12 Cars after 44 - Wheel Alignment Settings Front Toe: out .04” per wheel Total toe .08 out (5/64”) Rear Toe: in .078” to .12 per wheel Total Toe .157” to .24 in (5/32” – ¼”) I have a 52 plate 2.5 M12 – does that mean my car is before car 44? When ppl say eary & later 3R's what years/reg are we talking?
Hi Guys,
help needed again i'm afraid. my original post was on behalf of someone else but i now have the same question. the problem is mine is an M12 GTO (2.5/2002) and we have only spoken about GTO3 and beyone on this thread.
i had a new set of rears on saturday and went to have it alligned and surprise surprise they didn't have the settings. after a call to kerridges Dave kindly dived into his filing cabinet to seek the numbers for me.
the problem is he gave us a rear setting or 6mm. the fitters were very wary of setting the car up at 6mm as in their opinion the car would be very hard to drive in a straight line.
so i've left it as was and said i'd post the question on here. I have the full list of settings he gave me at home and will post tonight but in the meantime does 6mm sound right on the rear or not?
remember 2.5L GTO not 3 or 3R
thanks people (as always)
