Now that I have rather a lot of time on my hands what are the best places to do / see etc for free or relatively cheap? I went to the tate modern the other week that was good and have done some coastal walking which is great. any other recommendations bar self abuse and an xbox? Are the houses or parliament free to go look around?

Brighton Festival is on this month - lots of open houses showing their arts and photos. The Great Escape happening tomorrow morning from beach in front of the Old Ship hotel. London to Brighton Mini run tomorrow, 2500 Minis on Madeira drive they reckon!

Box Hill / the North Downs Way are worth a wander around. Also National Trust membership if you like houses and gardens.
