Anyone catch the pilot episode on the Sci-fi channel? Not bad if you haven't got anything else to do.
The Mustang (KITT) looks pretty cool.

I have seen all of season 1. I dont want to give anything away, but I will say, for those who think it will be an awfull rip off of the original series, it is and it isnt.
You have to think about it like this, back in the 80s the original series portrayed basically technology at its peak for then, ok mostly made up technology, but it was all about, showing what could be possible, perhaps what Knight industries has thought up.
New series think of it like this, this is what we can do now, back in the 80s we were the hieght of technology, its now 20+ years on, we have advanced since then, like technology has

Does that make sense? Basically, this is what we could do back then, this is what we can do now

The acting, fairly good, the female characters in there, would have it preferably threesome, but singles would do I wont be picky

Michael Knight- Fairly good character fits into the role almost as good as the Hoff

Devon- I think thats his name cant remember, simply wow, ok yes it is a tv show but the guy that plays him now, is just perfect for the role, he really does fit in, infact better than the original actor

KITT- As the Mustang, pretty cool and the way they have adapted KITTs technology into the 21st century was fantastic, but I feel he does to much stuff, I wont add anymore you will all see what I mean

Dont be put of by the first few episodes, it will all fall into place by episode 8 or so

What I didnt like was the premise as such behind it, was to military esque for me, I am not a big military fan, unfortunatly it has been adapted to be slightly more realistic with a military theme behind it, not to much of a military theme, but again all of that will pan out later in the series

Dont be put off by it being a remake, it really is quite good, I am ashamed to say it in a way, I usually hate remakes, but its been done well, its not over the top, its not ridiculous, its not as silly as the original series, I hope that it continues, infact I would say as a tv show its better than the original series the way its been down, but not as good as the original series if that makes sense

8/10 from me

I will never be able to hear KITT speak without thinking that Knight Industries have locked Batman inside the drivetrain.

Kilmer doesn't work for me.

IMO paperbag one of the best revivals of an old series I've ever seen.

KITT is now uber-cool, although perhaps because I appreciate cars more now than I did 20 years ago, and the Shelby Mustang is on my list of dream cars. The chicks - in a completely unbiased and honest comparison love are WAY better looking than in the original series too.

I've only seen the pilot and the first episode so far, ep 2 is on my Sky+ waiting to be watched, but personally I quite liked the military / law enforcement angle, I thought it made more sense than just having a random rogue organisation picking off baddies willy-nilly.

I look forward to the rest of the series, which is something I rarely say about anything these days.

The first episode was light years better than the pilot.

The woman has been hotted up no end.

Quite looking forward to the rest now

I watched an episode the other day and kit turned into a pickup, which car can do that now?

Also the Minority Report style heads up display in KITT, im not sure we can do that yet. I have seen it on a table but not in mid air HUD style.

and come on, even back in the original series there is no car that could jump without a ramp and we still do not have artificial inteligence in a car to the same level as KITT. Basically its all fiction.

Yes I totally agree, I can see what your saying I think you got the wrong end of the stick.

Back in the 80s they were seen as this what we can do now with fictional technology, now its, this is what we can do with fictional technology. They have thought alot more about it, and shown that KITT has advanced from the 80s, like we have

Shame it has been axed though, was really quite good

I watched the pilot and was a little disappointed by the lack of 'whoosh whoosh' from the red strip light at the front of the car, and also with KITT's voice - far too sinister frown

Watched the whole series on NBC .com and have to say I quite liked it. The car is cool, the women are smokin' hot and it even takes the piss out of itself occasionally. Considering most of the crap that is blown out the ahole medium that calls itself TV here I think the Knight Rider remake showed promise.

Instead they kill the series in favour of more cheap reality shows (hitched or ditched?, the cougar, real housewives of New Jersey....really New Jersey??) and crap prime time shows.

Now that its gone I only had Heroes, Reaper, Burn notice and Leverage to waste my hours away to. Heroes now finished for a while, Reaper in renewal limbo and BN & LVG return soon.

After reading some positive comments on this thread I sky+'d this weeks episode on Sci-Fi. Honestly anyone who thinks this is any good needs to get out a bit more. A quick message to the shows producers; If you can't afford to do CGI properly stick to practical effects. It was so bad I'd rather watch an episode of sex and the city.

In car footage with pi$$ poor blue screen cgi is dire. It looks like production values from 15/20 years ago.

The transformer thing to a pickup is absolutely laughable, it cannot be justified.

Too many characters. The original was one man can make a difference, not a whole team of experts. Just have Mike, the old chap, a teccy person and the fit lady (why not winkbiggrin)

Overall, the whole show doesn't really understand the concept of "less is more", the whole thing is just a bit too much.

Other than that, it's ok-ish. Wonder how a 10/15 year old sees it? After all, that's how old many of us when the original was on. There will be a fair bit of nostalgia and rose tinted specs.

I will reserve *some* judgement however, as only seen the pilot (which I thought was good!) and 2 series episodes (awful).

This show was so bad that the networks pulled all car shows from the coming season.

It actually killed the US version of "Top Gear"

Serious....

The transformations are a joke. And in 'pursuit' mode kitt looks ridiculous. All the other characters are very awkward and the fit women are just there to look at.

Some of the episodes I have seen are watch-able but not good enough for me to tune in regularly.

BTW the original is now showing on bravo. The first episode was shown a few weeks ago, so plenty more episodes left.
