Hello All - I posted a topic a few weeks back as i was looking for a Exige S 240PP in white... well i ended up with the Ltd Edition Sprint Model in Persian blue on a 58 reg, I've a profile pic if you want a swatch! I must say what a machine, even after having a 996 GT3 it feels so alive and i haven't had a smile on my face while driving since my biking days. Anyway i'll nae bore youz to death coz youz know already. biggrin

What I need is as about an after market Exhaust and induction kit ??

Since i stay in Aberdeen i've been in touch with Jim V at 2bular, handy that he's on my doorstep so i fancied this system from him - 8”dia x 22” Thru-Diffuser system... being an ex offshore welder myself his work does seem tidy. So i'll go for one of these, but the induction kit i don't have a scooby about... the supercharger sounds pretty sweet in the car at the moment but i like tinkering with stuff so can anyone give me the low down? Also part numbers and where to buy would be appreciated. beer

Many Thanks

Nods

I have just purchased an Exige Sprint in Solar Yellow/Aspen White.

Would love to see some photos.
Mine are here:

What year is your car allocated?

I'm keeping my car standard for now but will probably change the exhaust so any tips from anyone else regarding this would be welcome.

Are you planning on doing trackdays? If you are, it might be worth leaving it standard as induction on some blown cars can trip the meters. Some of the Honda converted cars have had such issues. If it's a roadcar only though you can go nuts. I'm sure you'll have plenty of opinions shortly. Do you post on SELOC?

Nice pics

Mine is on an 09 plate from new, now on private plate, still running the car in.

Did the car come with the stickers already on?

Where abouts is your interior plaque with the assigned year?

It would be nice to have a register of all 40 cars that were produced.

I have tracked down around 3 or 4 cars, with each one having a unique year assigned, it would be good to maintain some sort of list.

If you truly want an evil sound I guarantee you won't get more evil than a Larini "Race".
I have the mid silencer fitted at the mo and its pleny loud enough, if you fit the mid tube instead of the mid silencer it's MENTAL.
Cruise speed on motor way 70 and up for less drone.

fill model and silencer type to see.

What made you change from a 996 GT3 to an exige ?

The GT3 is much much faster and is not going down in value.

Most people dream to change the other way.
Did you just fancy a change ?

The only reason I can see was if you did lots of track days as ruuning costs are low on the Lotus, but as you are not doing track days either I am interested to hear your story.

The Sprint is year 1997, i haven't mounted the Ltd edition number inside.

Regarding selling the GT3 and your right it's a fair way quicker but i found myself driving far too fast in it.... if you get what i mean (speeds you can't mention on here), but your right was a shrood investment and superb drivers car (2003 model) I almost bought a white 997 GT3 a month or so back but again it would be the same scenario as the 996 + yeah i bought it for 45k and sold it for the same 18mnths later, for a 997 C4S coz i had a new family member. Anyway i've had porsches for the past 6 years and never anything else so i sold my C4S for a huge loss and bought a Navara Outlaw for the family and the Exige for my weekend fix.

The Exige S is just what a want for just now... i'll see how much fun it brings this summer. It makes e smile and my 3 yr old wee laddie loves it smile result

Also i'm getting a bit fed up of my local porsche garage, they have been taking the p#sh somewhat... to say the least. Shame as i've bought 5 cars from them in the past 5 years. Porsches are great cars shame that my dealer isn't as good as the cars were. Think they are paying the price now in the current economic climate....

I never considered an induction kit for supercharged cars as peeps here said it caused the engine to run lean - is that fixed or is it just something the TRD doesn't suffer from?

I adore the pipercross on my 111r so would like an induction if I upgrade.

Thanks!
