How accessible is the engine oil drain plug on a GTO-3, do you need to remove any panels underneath, also where abouts is the oil filter. Sorry for simple questions but I am being lazy....its a Sunday you know

Hi Andy , drain plug is pretty easy to get at through a hole in the bottom sheet , filter is a bit more of a issue its through the front triangle and the down pipe is in the way ....much easyer if you can get off bottom sheet !!!

Sump plug was very tight , had to give it a tap to break the seal !!

do you have the track day sump fitted ?

its easy if you do - the drain plug fits near a hole in the floor

No its the standard sump, do you guys do an interim oil change between services i.e 3000 miles?

Sure, some of us here do. IMO its not totally necessary, but theres nothing wrong in changing the oil+filter every 3K miles.

Yep , going to do mine again at 3k want to see how dirty the oil is that comes out !! also depends on what sort of runs you do , lots of short runs gives oil lots of crap . plenty of motorway miles keeps it cleaner .
