wheel geo, rough setting at home

I have removed all my front suspension etc and i need to set the camber roughly to roll it to the paint shop and then to the mot station.

whats the best way set it?

Do i jack the bottom arm up in the air to a similar height as its ride height then tap the disc until it looks vertical? should I use a spirit level or plum line onto the disc to get it dead straight?
