Gearbox recon...

I have a ford type 9 gearbox which is in a 'used' condition. I want to clean it up and bit and get it looking/working good.

If I strip the box down, apart from replacing the gaskets, i'm just going to inspect the gears to see if they are ok, clean them up and re lube them.

What would people recommend to clean the gears up with and what to lube them up with?

Clean with paraffin.

Lubricate with Castrol BOT130.
