charge cooler fine boost at .07 bar
Discussion
Thanks guys for all the help, regrading my boost on 90 se the charge cooler works fine I drove for about 45 minutes pulled over and felt the charge cooler and it was cool to the touch, but the max amount of boost I get is about .07 to .075 bar and the temp is at 84c when I punch it and my fans dont come on till close to 100c that cant be normal, so putting a new better chip in won't solve these problems.
Not 100% sure which model you have but if ECM based then the boost above the default wastegate level (.60/.65) is set by a control valve bleeding air to fool wastegate to thinking it is at a lower boost.
If this is the case then if tube is blocked then air would not be bled properly or if relay is not working.
The reading your getting on the gauge may be due to gauge innacuracy and is only really boosting lower.
Would sugegst installing a digital gauge as this would be more accurate.
If using relay, unplug the connections, this may make the engine check light come on but will mean system only uses boost set by wastegate with no interference, see if boost is lower or the same.
If same then relay not working or blocked, if lower then relay is working but not effiecently. check for blockage and reset ECM.
Hope some of that helps

It may be worthwhile checking that your throttle is opening fully. The cables can stretch after a while and this could prevent you from getting full boost. Get somebody to push the accelerator pedal as far down as it will go and then check at the engine end that the throttle will not go any further. Adjust as required and try again. Good luck!
