Looking to take the Missus out for a meal on her Birthday. She works in the West End, can anyone recommend anywhere over there?

Looking for about 60£ per person without drinks..

Thanks

Sarastros is great. Mediterranean food, with some Turkish influence.

It's an amazing venue, esp if they have live performers in. See if you can bag a 'top deck' opera box.

Shame I didn't log on earlier before you booked - Clos Maggiore. What a place! By far the best meal I have had (tasting menu £55) and wifey said most romantic restaurant as well. Bear it in mind for next year!!! www.closmaggiore.com

Myself and 'the wife' went to three restaurants this weekend and the best of them was The Landau opposite the BBC Radio building just off Oxford Circus. We booked on top table (although I think they do the deal there if you start before 7pm) and they did 3 courses for £34.... It was the best meal I've eaten, start to finish. Highly recommended.
Benares was also good but not in the same league IMO.

ETA we did try to book maze but couldn't get in at a reasonable time...
