As the title says really. How is it best to clean the side of a leather strap that is in contact with your wrist, and therefore discolours from picking up sweat/grime etc? Any particularly good products to use?

Thanks

Try some autoglym leather cleaner/treater stuff. That should do the trick.

Thanks, Chris. I'll give that a try.

In a similar vein, how do you get rid of dodgy smells from leather straps? A previous owner sprayed EDT all over it (you know who you are! biggrin ) and I prefer the smell of leather or a neutral smell.

To be honest I wouldn't bother.

If worn regularly, straps only tend to last a couple of years & very good straps can be had for circa £20 each.

If a watch comes with an OE branded strap I just swap it for a (usually better quality, but way less expensive) aftermarket one & keep the OE one to sell on with the watch in the future.
