Out of the blue.

Right guys and gals, I need some help, fast. Will pay if necessary.

I woke up this morning to find a letter from the magistrates, a summons for the 12th of December.

The offence - 60 mph in a 40mph

I have been summoned for not responding to a NIP that was allegedly sent to my home address via first class post. Included in the summons is a witness statement (of a clearical officer employed by the police) stating that a NIP was sent to me. A copy of the NIP has been included which has been signed by the clerical officer. Now if a NIP has been sent to me on the date they say (which I did nt receive) in any case it would nt of been signed by a clerical officer as at that time no NIP's where being signed.

I no longer own the vehicle. At the time of the offence I was the owner. The vehicle was sold roughly around a week after the offence. Before the vehicle was sold various various people had test ridden it. I may of been driving, I may not of, I can't honestly remember.

Any ideas or no a bloody good solicitor that deals with this sort of stuff?

How all this makes sense to you all

cheers

Pies

Robert Dobson of www.prycewoodrow.co.uk/ or
John Josephs of www.tclaw.co.uk/road_traffic.htm
appear to be the men for this sort of stuff.

Talk to a solicitor asap
and send em a letter/phone the courts and ask for an adjournemtn as you have no prior knowledge of either offence and need time to collate information
