Time for new Cambelt?

My elise has been serviced in the normal over the last 7 years with AABAACA.
Cambelt however was changed in 2005 on its 3rd 'A' service.
Am I right in thinking with it being 4 years ago I need to change cambelt again even tho she's only done 12K miles in last 4 years? Is a cambelt change a little excessive after just 12K miles? Clock on just 28'000.

Lotus recommendation for the K series engine is 48k or 4 years whichever is sooner.

Shouldn't be that bad if you're only due an A anyway. If you take it to a decent specialist, so long as nothing else is wrong, I'd reckon £3-400 all-in would be about right.
