POD and instrument wobble at high speed

Not sure if this is a case of "They all do That Sir!"
At around 90 (on a private road of course) im getting big wobbles on the cluster and pod, to the point where the pod is tapping itself from side to side on the cluster top.
There is some vibration evident through the steering wheel but not a massive amount, doesnt make your hand tingle or the wheel move for example.
Do they all do that or do i need to get wheel balance and alignment checked?

No, that is not right. Coupled with your other post about oil loss I would be going straight back to your dealer with this car.
A bit of vibration in the light pod is 'normal', and the instrument binnacle may have a tiny amount of play due to it being moveable, but shouldn't vibrate at speed by any noticeable amount.
May be a buckled alloy if its an early model. Later alloy wheels are strengthened.

More than a 'niggle' IMO but any tyre dealer can balance and check the wheels for a few quid to put your mind at rest. I should imagine engine mounts were changed at last rebuild, so hopefully in the paperwork. Propshaft or worn diff bushes would give a more general vibration through the car and not just the pod. my POD wobbled like a good un until I removed the cowling and tightened up the screws holding the mounting bracket. Now its minimal again.
mine's a "mid" season Mk1! you will have a similar bracket holding POD - might be worth a try/look?

I had this problem on my 52 plate tuscan at exactly 90mph it was really annoying, after a recomendation i took it to elite wheels in essex, they balanced all 4 wheels and checked my toe in/out settings and alignement. i have the settings provided by tvr which i had with me. it was not cheap at £130 but the difference is amazing, my car has stopped vibrating and even stopped tram lining, she also feels planted and has given me so much more confidence when driving at speed.

Agree with this. I had a similar problem but not to the same extent of movement and it was slightly lower speed.I found getting run off the road into a kerb, busrting 2 tyres and busting an alloy, replacing said broken items and then getting a full geo setup cured it.
Suppose you could just miss out the breaking your car and get a geo setup, your choice.
