How do I make a pith(sp?) helmet?

Yikes! My daughter needs an explorer outfit for Friday. I can cobble together most of it plus binoculars but I cant think how I might make a pith type helmet. Has anyone got any ideas? (She doesnt want to go as Dora the Explorer!) Thanks for reading!

what about indiana jones? white shirt (dirty), whip, pistol (water pistol, filled with vodka if shes over 18), cowboy hat and drawn-on stubble. And a shoulder bag...

Buy a childs policemans hat , remove badge and paint off White. Job done , I think
