I've done Zolder quite a few times. Really nice circuit - a mix of challenging fast and slow corners. Nice setting. The Hotel de Pits (I think its called, or something similar) overlooks the pit straight and is modern and clean.

They are very strict with noise - 98db drive by IIRC.

I'll be there again in September for two days, wouldn't miss it for the world.

I can put some video up on YouTube if you want to see what its like.

Thanks, sounds great. Might have a problem with the 98db limit tho, I will email the organisation (Lotus on Track).

Sounds what I am looking for, and could be good for July!

Video link could be very cool, thanks!

I've driven on the Circuit Zolder twice this year. Most challenging corners are the fast lefthander after start / finish and the "Sacrementsheuvel" - big crest / hill diving into a slight left before braking for the Villeneuve chicane. It isn't all too difficult to learn.

It's not a bad circuit but compared to Zandvoort, Assen, Charade, Spa, the Ring etc. a bit less challenging to drive.

Have fun & enjoy !

In terms of noise: If it poses problems, just shortshift or lift off on the back straight (that's where the DB-meter is) then you'll be fine.

I had the same noise issues out there. They were using 2 noise meters, one was 1/3 way up on the first long straight at the back of the circuit, the second was just after that left crest someone mentioned before the Villenueve Chicane (is it really called that, or just because that was where he was killed??) I think there are 4 noise meters there (they look like bee-hives), but usually only two active. They were operating a "three strike" rule and you are off. Try to work out which ones are being used! It is a cracking circuit though, pretty flat mostly but 3 good heavy-braking-into-chicanes. Good fun but not too technical. I am doing two days agian with GTMSpyder, topping the weekend off with Monday eve at the 'ring. I's so close its rude not too!
