LITRES OF OIL FOR A 3.6 L SPEED SIX

hi all

how many litres of engine oil is required for a tamora / 350 t on a service

i've tried to search on the threads but cant find anything

8 Litres if I'm not mistaken.

not sure if this is right, but i'm sure someone told me months back that it was about 9 litres?

9 litres max full change
6.5 litres tank only

well my service garage has asked me to get 6 litres of oil
which doesn't seem alot ?

i'm sure i have read that with the tamora / 350 there are two or three places where the car has to be drained from ? to get most of the old oil out

does anyone know

i guess they just want to empty the tank then, not ideal i imagine as you've still got 40% 'old' oil remaining.

Looked at my service invoices from Castle. 7.5, 8.0 & 8.5 litres on different services! mobil synt-S 5-40 on the last two services 0-40 back in 2005.

it seems that some of the old oil stays in the engine ?

6 litres in the tank ?

so how do you release some of the old oil left in the engine approx 2 litres

i believe there is some remaining in the sump, but my knowledge runs out a bit here, so hopefully someone else can confirm...

Is it not sucked out of the header tank & drained via the plug on the back of the sump?
