Not a what wax thread......
Discussion
Hi, I have the following products and a met. black Alfa.
Whats best to use, will one remove the other if using them both? any help appreciated.
Clearkote Vanilla Moose Eax Hand Glaze
Poorboys Black Hole
I've used them both before at different times, the car is a bit swirly but not too bad but I have a show at the weekend so want it looking its best. I dont want to waste my time trying to get a good finish with one then ruin it with another!
And will Poorboys QW+ (which says it is a wax that has cleaning properties) remove any of the fillers if its used after either of the above?
I have other waxes, but like to just do a quick once over with the QW+ after a glaze!
Cheers

PB BH has fillers, as I understand it, but I don't think CVMHGW has, and is the better suited to a wax - the PB one is a synthetic glaze for sealant users, iirc.
PB QW+, if a cleaner as suggested, would definitely remove the fillers PB BH or glazing oils VMHG has left when buffed.

Ah so you suggest that the CK stuff would be best before the QW+ then really, and use the BH alone inbetween full polish and wax sessions!
No, sorry if I didn't make myself clear.
QW+ if it has cleaning properties, will remove both glazes - oil based CK or synthesised PB BH, before leaving its wax content behind.
If you want what a glaze is supposed to (and can) provide, then use CK on the bare paintwork, followed by your regular wax.
If you have a sealant, then PB BH on the bare paintwork, followed by the sealant, and maybe topped with a wax, although I think that'd be overkill and not show any appreciable difference over the PB BH synth glaze.
As for QW+ - sounds like a quick detailer with carnauba content - that'd be fine ever wash between additional top-ups of your wax.
Any clearer now?

Yes thanks for your help, thats maybe where I've been going wrong with the QW+, using it as a wax sometimes after a polish or glaze.....
As its cleaning properties although light may be spoiling the results, I think your right that it should just be used after a wash for wax top up like a QD with carnuba.
Will try the PB or CK alone for this weekend anyway.
The CK I think is more of a light polish with some wax than a glaze, an all in one product.
The PB juts meant to be a quick fix between full details to help hide a few swirls, both should still help improve appearance but do little for protection.
Anyone else anymore experience with any of these products?
Cheers
