I'm heading down in the 993 with a couple of friends in 355s if anyone fancies it?

Planning to leave at 8am to get there for the start.

We'll be leaving from a friend's house in Steep Marsh/Liss down the B2199/B2146/B2141 so a bit out of your way but more than welcome to join us and come down en masse if you fancy it?

How about meet at 8am (weather dependant for me!) at the Esso petrol station, Petersfield, opposite Churchers College. I usually go to Goodwood via the A272 via Midhurst as this is a nice straight ish set of roads. Hope that's ok for you.

Sounds like a great convoy John, but I've just worked out I'd have an extra hour of driving, which I normally don't need an excuse for, but I also like my sleep! :-)

It's held at Goodwood race circuit. People turn up from 7ish till midday. For example I arrive 9ish.

Marshals will direct you one way or another.

If your car fits the theme, drive into the circuit entrance and you will be directed either onto the start/ finish straight, or if full the paddock behind.

If your car isn't with the theme you can either park on hard standing - drive in and turn right or if it's not a particularly low car and can happy handle a flat field, there is parking in a field over the road. This is where most people park in their every day cars. Walk over the road and you're into the circuit.


Breakfast wise the Goodwood's own breakfast is expensive and from my expirence, can be cold and not worth it's money. I prefer one of the few wagons spaced out around the paddock serving bacon rolls and the like.
