Just wondering how many miles you all had to cover in order to buy/pick up 2nd hand ro's and how long you were looking before the right one came up. I had to go about 80 miles for mine and i was looking for about 3 months

About a year research and looking. Found one 115 miles away. there were 2 dealers selling one 5 miles from each other..... what are the chances!! I would say that Ro's are like busses- bus as we all know.. busses, they aint. metophorically speaking.

As soon as I heard that the Monaro was going to be imported into the UK I said to myself "I'll have one of those one day". Any way, April 2007 and after a country pub lunch with the missus and the folks we stopped off at a dealer that had a 'ro in the showroom and once the wife had had a look round and a sit inside, we bought it next day after a test drive Oh it was about 25 miles away BTW.

Flew from NI to Luton to have a looky, went back, arranged the cashflow and had them deliver the car to NI by transporter a couple of days later smile

Same as above second saw the first 5.7 VXR in a magazine said im having one of those! Although it took me till this year to get one and it was only because of a split from my long term partner ended up with one, if was still together wouldnt have the car!

Anyways it was a 280 ish mile round trip from memory once found the car I wanted, had never seen or driven it, actually had never driven any Ro, first go was on the drive home in the actual car, glad I like it!

About 250 miles around trip - arguably 500 as I bought 2 from the same dealer. It's a long story.....

I bought the first one (CV8) from them, had it for 12 months and found out that it had been crashed on the boat over from Oz. They took it back, refunding all my money and sold me a pre-reg VXR just as the price dropped. So two cars, but not at the same time!
