Can't open bonnet

Hi,

Try to open the bonnet today without any luck. Try pulling the bonnet release but its stuck tight and there is no give in the cable at all. Any Ideas?

Is there an alternate way to open it? can the release mechanism be reached from under the car? or is there something else that I can do to get the bonnet open.

Try getting someone to pull the bonnet release while you press down on the bonnet over the catch which is just in front of the driver's wiper.

...and when it is open spray the catch with WD40!

Tried the pushing down on the bonnet while getting friend to pull release and still no luck.

Any other ideas?

Semtex? - you were only supposed to blow the bonnet off!

Everyone, thanks for replying. I've finally got it open! I'm still not sure what the problem is but I managed to pull the cable including the plastic cover with a lot of force after detaching it from the release leaver and the bonnet catch openned. I'll need to replace the cable but I've got the bonnet open at lease.
