Hi everyone,

My name is Lars and I am part of a group of sports car owners that organise charity events with our cars to raise money for a good cause.

Our members are owners of different marques of sports cars including Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini etc. As you know yourself those type of cars attract the interest of car lovers and general public alike. We are trying to use this interest to raise money for charity by organising different events for example a charity drive with guest passengers.  It's great fun, a good way to meet other owners with different cars and in the end we can help someone.

I am posting in your forum because we have an event coming up in June (Sat 20th to Sun 21st) in West Sussex (20min south of Gatwick). This is a 24h private music festival in a private garden setting (well acres of it) with 9 bands and limited to 450 people.

We are looking to attend the festival with up to 20 cars and put them on display in a dedicated area during the festival, maybe even offering the passenger seat to some guests for a donation (totally up to the owners) as well as photo shoots for the guests. One of our members will also display his racing car.

It's going to be a great event which also offers a lot of attractions for the kids. There will be a dedicated camping area to pitch your tent, but for those who prefer a more cosy version we will provide addresses for other accommodation.

I was wondering if some of you might be interested in joining us at the festival. Although it is a music festival it is a private festival so the audience there will be mainly 30+ (and kids of course).

You can find more details about the event here:

Any questions you can always contact me directly at team at drive4charity.org

Many thanks

Lars

It's going to be a great festival and I am really looking forward to it. We will either meet at somewhere on the M23 or people can come directly. Would be good to have some more cars.

That could work rather well.

Think I'm living in a tent most of June, with Le Mans and Glaso already on the cards

The plan was to bring up to 20 cars. So far we have
Lambo Gallardo
Maserati 4200GT
Porsche 997 CS
Porsche 996 C2

It would be good to have a minimum of 10 cars. During the night from Sat to Sun we can park the cars in a secured area, and Sunday morning put them on display probably in front of the main stage. If you are interested please register at drive4charity.org

Looking forward to meeting you!!

Lars, sounds like a great idea and I can see Bachi (Harsh) has already posted.

Incidentally we met last year at a Porsche club event; if I'm not mistaken, your profile pic is from that event.

Small world! Yes, we met at the R20 tunnel run in London. You had the silver targa?

Hope to meet you again at the event. I am just waiting for the event guys to come back to me re bands/music so you get an idea of who / what is being played. Last year there were 8 bands playing until 00.30 and then big campfire with guys playing their guitars...until 4ish...

Hi everyone

I just received the final entertainment schedule for the festival (bands, comedy acts etc) Somehow I can't copy the table into this post so you can view the schedule here: http://www.drive4charity.org/index.php/upcoming

For those of you who are still interested can I ask you now to register for the event so we get an idea about numbers/cars.

Many thanks and see you soon

Lars
