32/36 DGV air filter and jets
Discussion
Thanks to all those who pointed me in the right direction with my crossflow rebuild over the past few weeks. I get it this weekend, so I'll be busy ignoring my wife for the foreseeable future while I fiddle with it.
Are there any secrets I need to know before I remove the old one, will it go in without pull the gearbox too?
I'm being advised to change the air filter to a K&N type filter, is there a chart some where that says which one would be best for each application? It's now around the 110bhp mark. I guess it'll also need the carb rejetting, should I just leave it as it is now (as was running on the standard GT) and then wait until I get it on the RR?
As ever, thanks in advance.

I've had the engine in and out of mine several times over the years but it's been a while so my memory might not be perfect! I recall that the engine can be changed with the gearbox in-situ but that it's a very tight squeeze to get it past the chassis tube that runs across the front of the engine bay. I might even have had to take the front pulley off to get it past.
If your taking out an engine and replacing it with another then check you've got the right engine mounts for the block. Early crossflow blocks were narrower than later 711M blocks and the 711M block won't fit between the early type mounts.
If your going to have the engine tuned on a rolling road then I wouldn't bother messing around with the carb jetting beforehand.
