Sayyyy - you found a talivan parked up and well, kinda let the tyres down - or even just one tyre.

What crime would you be comitting? In fact - what crime would it be to do this to any parked vehicle?

Futher to that, what if you stealthily propped 2 nails up on each side of the tyres on each wheel without being noticed?

The damage would be caused by the driver driving over them NOT the person placing them....

nothing at all unless you damage the car.

if it was a bib one they mite be able to charge you with interfering with them while on duty.

but if you catch the cid asleep in an un marked car
when they should be some where else.

and let all there tires down.

there more likly to go round begging for a foot pumb than nick anyone.

or course iv never done anything like that

I think you could probably be done for manslaughter if they drove off with reduced pressure or nails in their tyres and had a subsequent failure on the motorway. Just don't go there, please.

I have had a couple of screws and nails go through my tyres, should i have gone to the police and told them i wanted an attempted manslaughter investigation started?

Yep, it's an offence of criminal damage to let the tyres down as this would alter the original purpose of the tyre. Even though no permanent damage was caused.

To place nails/screws under the tyre in an attempt to puncture it is also an offence under the criminal attempts act. + Possession of articles to cause criminal damage.

Is it worth getting a criminal record just for a bit of ‘pay back’ ?

I can't see too many employers taking it seriously, most people would laugh about a crime like that...only if done to a talivan..not a cop car.

Just a thought - anyone want to set up their own clamping company and set out to only clamp illegally parked talivans? Big release fee of course. Now that would be fun. Is it possible?

James - the Talivans get special exemption orders from the local councils to park stupidly.

Wrong.

Crimnal damage includes 'depriving the use of'.
