Are there any in or near Surrey that let you wander around and take bits off, like the good old days? smile

I'm near Woking if that helps

Chobham car spares, you take the parts off & they are cheap.Unfortunatly its a fraction in size to what it used to be (whole site in pic.).

The one in Normady is now a commercial repairs yard.
Try Blackbushe near Yatley just off the A30 before you get to the Airport.

I needed some parts a while back and found them helpfull.
Gave me guarantee on a 2nd hand cylinder head for a 1.8 Ford Diesel.
You can ring them and the guys will search for you.

Some in Aldershot/Ash Vale, AA car spares lets you walk around and take what you want, pretty much £10-15 per item. Take your own tools.

Just down from the main one, follow the road along and they are at the end. The big place is ask for the part and get charged removal fee.

There used to be one in/near Worplesdon, but then I didn't realise the Normandy one was no more so I could be talking rubbish.

If anyone is ScrapYard surfing can they ask about a Skoda Felicia?

I need wheels and tyres (steelies) and driver and passenger sun visors. Also fron shock absorbers/springs.

Cheers

If it's the one I'm thinking of then it's Smarts/Sheets heath lane kin dof on the border of Worplesdon/Brookwood/Mayford. Last time I wandered and took off parts was over 10 years ago though!

I'm near Guildford, my Dad's popping down to Waterlooville on his way to a meeting tomorrow to the crapyard there to pick up a foglight surround for my Megane, I'll get the name and number for it if you'd like?

there are 2 good scrappies in between alsdershot and north camp.

One is www.aldershotcarspares.com which its a rack and stack place, have good stock, if they have the car they will bring the whole car off its racking to you to remove parts or they charge you to remove for you.

the other is www.deanewoodexport.co.uk which is about 200yards past alderhsot car spares and this one is a much more old skool scrappy, you can happily just wander around looking for what you need, just remember your own tools.

Or if you fancy an trip www.silverlakeautoparts.co.uk has about 9 acres of cars racked 4 high, they do post aswell, but their stock in huge!!!

hope this helps
