Single driver - pit, stop, turn off engine, get out of car (2 feet on ground), shut door, open door (!), get in, belt up, start, leave pits...no time limit. All a bit of a pantomime if you're old(ish) and not supple but it's a great series with a very varied grid.

Fortunately no circumnavigating of the car required...
40 min. race, pit lane open 15-30 minutes

If it helps, I reckon around 35 seconds is a decent target time - you can practice this at home, of course, but use your race gloves and helmet/HANS to get an accurate guideline.......

Second post about this series in a week smile
Should have our car ready by end of June, looking forward to getting out on the track. As opposed to getting my cheque book out!

Bernie,

Hope you're ok after the accident, pleased to see you climb both quickly & un-aided out of the car.

How's the car? It looked to have stood up very well.

Hopefully you'll back with us again in Future Classics very soon.....

Hi Mark

thanks for your thoughts , I feel a bit tired , and bit fed up about the old Cav. she has been a real fun taxi and deserves better , I will have a good look at the car in a couple of days , we are on the lookout for n/s doors front wings frt bumper .
as for the accident to quick to soon , hope I did not spoil things for others to much ,
Oulton ? doubt it .

What an excellent post. I look forward to seeing you race again when the Cav Taxi is fixed. By the way, the Cavalier must surely also be eligible for the sister Tin Tops series - then you can race against my Toyota Carina Taxi!! (When its gets a new gearbox in it)
