Am I the only lucky owner to have two 100A fuses. One in the usual place on the rear of the engine and another hidden at the top of the inner wing above the passenger's knees. It protects the power cable from the battery to the fuse box. I only ask because I've never seen it mentioned before.

Yup, there are two but the alternator is the one that goes just because it's in such an exposed position. It doesn't blow, it rots away.
