Check the cable housing for scorch marks or other heat damage - I've seen a number of cars where the liner inside the housing has melted from the heat of the front turbo/downpipe. When you replace it, be sure to route it as far away as possible from the turbo, downpipe, and the rest of the exhaust. Some heat sheathing is a very good idea, too.Any further thoughts?
