Due to unforseen circumstances the company has ceased trading.
You will finish on friday, no unpaid leave no notice period and you maybe lucky to get what you are owed.
So I have to wait until tommorow to see if I even get my wages for the month.
I have heard on the grapevine that the company is going to set up again, probably why he was so desperate to get all the computers up and running before I left (moved premises).
So now I have 4 weeks to find work if I get paid before I have to let the flat go and stump up the cash for the rest of the rent period (£1800 - our holiday savings).
If I don't get paid friday I owe £2400 and have to come home.

If you see any IT Tech roles around essex give me a shout!
May give the photography a crack whilst I have the time.

Thats nasty! if the company is going into receivership you can sign on straight away - I know that is absolutely no consolation at all, but you will get what you are owed eventually, same thing happened to me, but luckily mortgage protection saved my backside of ending up in the street.
Good luck with the photography - try looking at it a different way, I'm sure it will put a smile back on your face:

Dunno what level you are, but that looks like it's Selex, and would be a rather good job if you could get it...
Bad luck on the current job - i work just down the road from Selex, and 150-odd design engineers have just been given 90days notice.
Not a good time for the UK, that's for sure...

Just renumerate yourself with office hardware?
Back in 2003 I was working for a software house that contracted me out to a big "injury-claims specialist" (also known as ambulance chasers) when their entire workforce was sacked by text message. It was like PC World were having a 95% off sale.
