Have a look at this:

http://www.hsv.org.uk/topic.asp?t=660619&f=69&...

I fancy a smaller one. Do you think you could argue that the bumper (VXR) cannot acommodate a full size plate becasue the standard mouding in the bumper for plates is smaller than a UK plate? Therefore, a UK plate doesnt 'fit' on the vehicle.

Kyle, if you're reg is the same as your username, I reckon you should be able to trim down a normal size plate like I have. Would that work?

just keep it full size, a full size plate does not detract from the look of the car nor does a trimmed plate look cooler

Spot on. The worst are those c0ck jockeys with italic text etc.

my user name is my reg, I have used a standard plate and trimmed it, fits perfectly on the front of the car. Exactly the same size as the plate mounting area. I have legal sized lettering and the correct spacing around the letters.

It does make the front end look a little more agressive, in my opinion and if you fancy it, go ahead.

Stig, I know it doesn't make me look cool, hip, hard or awesome, but it's a choice and people will make it. You always have a comment, which appear to be defensive or slightly opinionated, it's as though you begrudge anyone having a choice of their own. I could be wrong, however it just come across like that.

Opinions and personal preference are like arseholes, everyone has one however everyone only cares about their own and doesn't want anyone elses thrown in their face.

well said, cant see why people find it such a problem, i want my front plate to fit the gap where it is intended to go, i think itl make my car look a little nicer. maybe we should start having a go at people who change there vauxhall badges to holden ones?........funny thing opinion
