I've got the week to myself, as Mrs KP and small people will be down in Somerset for the school holidays.

Anyone fancy heading off to a nice country pub somewhere in the Surrey Hills between Dorking and Guildford for a long, slow lunch?

I can come out for lunch, but only for an hour or so, and if it is closer to Guildford.

I shall give some thought as to a decent pub near the Guildford end of the A25 then, although at the moment this slightly depends on me getting one of my cars back. When I dropped a second one into the garage yesterday, I'd forgotten I'll be leaving the third and final one with my wife and children in Somerset this evening! paperbag

I'd highly recommend the White Horse in Shere - but you should book if you choose it - it gets busy.

P.S. OOOOPS!! I'd momentarily forgotten that I was flying off to the West Indies on Sunday morning.... sorry I can't make it after all Kermit.

Maybe next time though

Unfortunately I am the opposite next week, half term means I will be tethered with children for the bulk of it - Monday being one of them.

rolleyes You can cancel flights, you know!

Hopefully knowing what you're missing out on won't spoil the West Indies too much for you!

I wish we had a decent local within walking distance frown I'm sure I'd be stabbed if I ventured into the nearest pub to us!

That is a very good point. I can categorically point out to the relief of anyone not Dutch, that I am categorically not thinking of going to a Harvester! hehe
