A real weird bizarre one !!!

My SL has developed a very distinct knocking in the fuel tank - something has obviously broken or come loose as the knocking is in time with the sloshing of the fuel and stops when the car is stationary.

Any ideas or clues?

l did have to make a fairly violent braking manoeuvre last night but can't believe that would cause it.

Is the fuel gauge working? sender loose?

Failing that, maybe a loose baffle or some buggers stuffed something in the tank!
