Where would you like them to train? On an Xbox maybe?

Cracking road that, but a bit tight for police training i would have thought, also a high risk of slow tourist traffic, but they have to train somewhere.

Difficult one

I often see various constabularies claiming they dont do this then they have accidents of this type or get caught speeding

Was in a Tulliallan car a few years ago on a visit

Passed a poor guy on the long straight coming from Knockhill towards Tullialan at 100+ 5 big guys in unmarked BMW OK was a Police instructor but I thought it was aa bit marginal to be honest

had it been you or I they would have thrown away the keys!

They seem to like heading down to the East Neuk of Fife at high speed - usually 2 cars a minute or so apart.

I realise they've got to do it somewhere but one time I saw them come over a blind brow at about 90. There's a farm entrance just after the brow and if anything had come out of there they'd all have been dead.
As it was I got a bit of a fright at them suddenly appearing like that, car all up on it's suspension and travelling so fast.

Hope they're all ok. Slag the boys in blue all you like, but I'd rather have proper traffic cars on the road than the static revenue generators that apparently make roads safer. You can be under the speed limit and still dangerous!

All my dealings with the police have always been top notch, and I'd rather they were training in decent conditions like we have at the moment than leaving it all to chance in an emergency.

It's scary when you realise that some of them are not natural drivers. Two people I know, one a friend from schooldays and the other is a relative, both made comments along the lines of the training being the scariest thing they've ever done.

Thats true, however those type of people wouldnt end up being in traffic, so wont get hold of anything more powerful that a shagged Astra

But sadly I suspect that would have been who was driving that car, if I'm not mistaken traffic training is done at Tulliallan as opposed to locally as this one was? And who let the woman drive? I'm joking of course, the Amb guys are colleagues of mine,

I remember I was once in a unmarked car with a Police man.. He said, "anything you see about 70 is a figment of your imagination. He reached 130+ sometimes. Bloody good driver though!

The cadets are based at Tulliallan but their training takes them on varying routes around Scotland, usually in the northern half.

Yeah but this was a Northern car not a Tulliallan one, the panda drivers in Grampian are done locally as well I believe,

Geoff Capes once drove me through Holyrood Park at what seemed to be ridiculous speeeds in his Granada.

He didn't seem to be worried about getting a ticket for some reason.

Not really in a position to comment as I wasnt there but I have done the course. It is possible that the driver was able to clear the blind summit earlier on so knew that nothing was coming. Just my personal opinion, could be wrong though.

If it was any non-police involved in that accident, we'd get charged with dangerous driving and loss of lisence.

Hypocritcal f**cks. I hate the pigs.

I just love saying 'I hate the pigs'. I've known plenty in my time - my dad was one for >30 years. Are you a filth?
