Having finished my pond a couple of years back I never got round to making a water feature as I had originally planned.

I have an outlet already working so just need to redirect the pipe and i'm away.

I could easily just go and buy a fibreglass waterfall or some posh bit of rock with a hole drilled through it but I want something different.

I was thinking of a motoring inspired theme to it. If I had a spare four branch stainless steel exhaust manifold I could use that - but I don't.

Has anybody got any ideas ?

Is it possible to get an i4 engine, stip and degrease it, set up a wanter feed into the inlet, and then have a water proof motor turning it over, so then the water gets spat out of the exhaust valves?

have this at the side of a pool and have it rotating at around idle speed, and then spurting water into the pool.

Would that be possible?

Get an engine out of an old MK4 Cortina and hang it up on a post. Was never much good at holding oil, so I'm sure it'll leak water, sieve-like, perfectly competently biggrin

rusty engine block, with water pumping through it/ coming out of it, just gently though, no huge fountains, so it looks like a naturally occurring crystal of roverviaghtite.

I'm thinking front end of a mini, with water coming out through the washer jets and the wipers going.
